Since 2002, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants has reflected the diversity of the world’s culinary landscape. This annual list of the world’s finest restaurants provides a snapshot of some of the best destinations for unique culinary experiences, in addition to being a barometer for global gastronomic trends.
Dekton® has played an important role, being the official supplier of all the surfaces used during the event. The winning list was presented last Tuesday 19th June Palacio Euskalduna, in Bilbao. Spain therefore becomes, for the first time, the centre of the widely known as “The Cuisine Oscars”. Dekton® sponsored too the Sustainable Restaurant Award, given away by Santiago Alfonso, Cosentino´s Vicepresident of Marketing and Communication. Restaurant Azurmendi, located in Larrabetzu (Biscay), and lead by chef Eneko Atxa.
Dekton® by Cosentino had its own stand inside Palacio Euskalduna during the event with brand new Dekton® Orix surface on display. Spanish brand Cinco Jotas had its own Dekton® surface too, in their case the Domoos coloured one. Moreover, the device where their jamón was served had been manufactured in Silestone® by Cosentino quartz.
