PRADA VALVIGNA
Prada Group
Tuscany, Italy
Italian architect Guido Canali signs PRADA´s new industrial headquarters in Valvigna, Tuscany. As if floating over terraced hills, the office space give us a hint of what continues behind those green barriers.

The professional relationship existing between Canali and PRADA goes back to 1999, when they first collaborated to design Montevarchi´s plant. Since then, their collaborations have been shaping towards a common goal, to build and design with the same patience and determination of an artisan, who rejects gratuitous gestures and exhibitionism but rather is faithful to a critical rigour of rationalist origin, in its eliminating and allowing to refine. Valvigna´s headquarters bring together recurrent spatial concepts in Canali´s work and takes them a step further towards a complicated process of planning and refining while the building works continued. Production space an development areas are separated in different floors but connect themselves with the rest of the buildings through light walkways. These two extra buildings hold the office space and the canteen, where workers can enjoy a quality free time surrounded by patios full of vegetation and dome light.
