Spatiallity adapted to its inhabitants. Boundaries that interact with our movements and make way for us long enough to advance a few meters. A never ending set of transparencies that help us perceive our environment from another point of view.

Numen/For Use is a collective working in the fields of conceptual art, scenography, industrial and spatial design. The group's early enterprises are characterized by experiments with impersonal design and radical formal reduction, deeply rooted in the tradition of high modernism and mainly applied to various synergetic total-design projects in Croatia. The following images show a selection of their recent projects according to differente techniques.

Void was constructed by suspension and side tension of flat sheets of technical textile. Entering the installation, the body weights of temporary inhabitants open a limited, personal space in front and behind the person inside. The labyrinthine disposition of the path emphasises the lose of spatial perception, entrapping the visitor in an abstract, non material white void.

A parasite structure that grows from the trusses that held it. The upper part of the structure, tailored from a flat net surface, consists of larger spaces, while the lower part of the installation, made of net hoses, feature narrow tunnels of entrance and exit.

Aiming for an extremely short construction time and low construction cost, two nets were suspended horizontally from the surrounding trees. These surfaces were pierced with pinnacles stuck to the ground that, together with the ropes stretching, generate levitating spaces.

One of the structures of the "Interior" exhibition at the Palais Tokyo in Paris was designed starting from the concept of physical and spatial interiority. Twelve people, ten days, and miles of adhesive tape later, fifty meters of raised passageways invaded the exhibition space over the heads of the visitors, twisting between the pillars of the central hall.

A mesh of ropes lie loose inside an inflatable cube. When the object inflates, the ropes tense to a perfect 3D grid that enables visitors to move around hanging in unnatural positions. Impossibility of perception of scale and direction results in simultaneous feeling of immenseness and absence of space.
