Signature interior design

In June 2020, Gustavo Marasca, a young and promising Brazilian architect, designed this beautiful private home in Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil. In only six months he successfully completed the construction and interior design with a stunning result. The most striking feature of this project is that, in addition to the perfect execution of the building in terms of façade and exterior volume, the architect has worked on a very careful interior design, with a selection of materials and qualities.

And in this selection of finishes, hyper-modern materials such as Dekton Trilium and Silestone Noka are combined with other more classic and timeless ones such as Dekton Natura, Dekton Rio Blanco and Silestone White Zeus.

The kitchen is a spectacular space with its large-format Dekton Natura worktop with rounded edges, which can seat eight people and can be used for showcooking. The material chosen is reminiscent of Carrara marble, but without the disadvantages of marble, which is not suitable for use in wet areas.

The ideal material for every space

The bathrooms are designed to the millimetre, combining countertops with lacquered wooden doors, designer handles and wallpaper. For the master bathroom, a countertop in Silestone Noka (dark brown colour) has been chosen, which creates a contrast with the white lacquered vanities. For the other bathrooms, the architect has opted for Silestone White Zeus with grey or light green lacquered wooden furniture and brushed brass handles.

Another striking feature is the impressive staircase in Dekton Rio Blanco suspended in the living room with its light glass balustrade. Technical attributes such as resistance to sunlight and scratches as well as its undeniably attractive appearance played an important role in the choice of this material. Six 1.2cm thick slabs, measuring 320 x 144 cm, have been used for the staircase to ensure that it will stand the test of time.

An impressive Dekton Trilium façade

The refinement and sensitivity of the interior of the home contrasts with a very architectural Dekton Trilium façade. The Trilium finish is reminiscent of rust. It is a mix of volcanic, grey and black colours and the first 100% recycled Dekton material. Marasca decided to use this material in ‘Slim’ format to create a flawless corten steel effect. Furthermore, this format makes installation easier due to its lighter weight and transforms the façade into something light and modern.

The result is a contemporary and functional home, designed with attention to detail inside and out, with Marasca’s distinctive style. Not surprisingly, this young and promising architect says he wants to transform the lives of his clients through their homes and defends the idea that true beauty is in the details.

Nine Dekton and Silestone applications

It is no coincidence to find up to nine applications of Dekton and Silestone in the same project. Rast Grup’s architect Tuğce Özdoğan is in love with Cosentino products and has used them extensively on interior and exterior walls, worktops and on the reception desk of these offices.

For the wall cladding, the designer has combined the sand and beige colours and marbled finishes of Dekton Arga, Dekton Royal Reef and Dekton Taga, with the grey and black shades and industrial finishes of Dekton Milar and Dekton Spectra.

This beige and black combination pattern has also been used on the worktops and other horizontal surfaces, but with different finishes: Dekton Edora, from the Natural collection, provides the cream colour while Dekton Radium adds the black and industrial touch. The only concession to classicism comes from Silestone Snowy Ibiza, a bright white with very subtle grey veins.

The result is a very attractive combination of textures and nuances from two unique shades.

AVEND Çayyolu, the Premium brand of Rast Grup

The offices of the construction company Rast Grup are located in the brand new AVEND Çayyolu building. AVEND is the brand used by Rast Grup for its premium residential buildings, ensuring innovation and the highest quality standards for its residents. It is not surprising that “avend” means peak or high rank in Ottoman Turkish. AVEND’s mission is to always aim for the top and respond to people’s needs.

To meet such an ambitious mission, it was necessary to use innovative and quality materials such as Dekton and Silestone.

Bringing contemporary into life with Dekton

Being the exclusive sole distributor of cutting-edge kitchen appliance brands FALMEC and FOSTER in South Korea, MAXTIME has successfully enhanced its showroom experience through the use of innovative materials by Cosentino.

As a distributor and retailer, a successful retail showroom design is an important aspect of MAXTIME’s business strategy. Cosentino is proud to be creating value in and around MAXTIME’s new showroom and office that effectively expresses the identity of the company.

Located in Seocho district, Seoul, MAXTIME’s showroom and office building boasts a trendy, geometric design concept in which Dekton Trilium and Dekton Sirius take prime focus as a façade. Dekton Trilium’s industrialised look of rusted steel lends the perfect touch to create an extremely distinct and edgy look to the building. Dekton Sirius complements the edgy Trilium with its textured visual sensation and subtle greenish touches by bringing realism and strength as visitors enter the building.

A total 350-sqm of Dekton Trilium and 50-sqm of Dekton Sirius envelop the building, both in 20 mm thickness.

Dekton stands the test of time and weather

Aesthetics and resistance to Seoul’s extreme weather were two important requirements for this project where temperatures can soar as high as 35°C and drop to as low as -20°C.

Dekton’s superior performance makes the material a great choice for such a demanding architectural project. Dekton not only improves functional performance of the façade with respect to heat reduction and insulation, it also increases weather protection and durability with its UV resistance, stain resistance and long-lasting colour fastness.

Maxtime - Maxtime 4 305

Design with commitment

Dekton Trilium is also the first recycled colour within the Dekton line, thereby improving the overall sustainability of the building. Ultracompact surface Dekton is now officially recognised as a carbon neutral product since 2020.

Within the building, 80-sqm of Dekton Trilium in 8 mm thickness continues to line the walls of common corridors with its somehow metallic effect, creating a seamless transition and connection with the outside surrounding.

In addition to façade and wall cladding, a multitude of Cosentino surfaces are integrated into the showroom space as worktops to complement MAXTIME products, including: Kelya, Aura, Korso, Domoos, Entzo, Kira, Arga, Sirius and Lunar for Dekton colours; Urban Frost, Arden Blue Volcano and Pearl Jasmine for Silestone colours and, finally, Sensa Black Beauty.

Dekton perfectly adapts to every application

The LD Sevilla hotel is located in the north of the Andalusian capital, next to a service area and motorway exit. This strategically located hotel does not compromise on style, offering its guests a distinguished experience based on quality services and attractive designs. VAU Arquitectura has been in charge of the hotel’s design. The architecture studio relied on Dekton’s ultra-compact surface for a multitude of applications, using 3,100 m2 in the building.

From the exterior façade, which must withstand high levels of solar radiation, to the always busy common areas, such as restaurants and toilets, Dekton’s unique features perfectly meet the needs of a bustling hotel.

LD Sevilla - cosentino 105 fachada recursoDSC 9837 335

A façade with personality

Alejandro Rivero, the architect in charge of the project, took care of every detail of the design. Starting with the façade itself: “We wanted a cladding that would enhance the horizontal joints while concealing the vertical ones. This way, we could highlight one of the hallmarks of the building, which is precisely its horizontality”.

The standard slabs (3200×1440 mm) were cut to three different heights (700 mm/350 mm/175 mm). These were adapted to the façade, which is characterized by different heights, sizes and cantilevers. For these reasons, we needed a versatile and adaptable façade material, something like a tailor-made skin. The slabs were deliberately placed in different stripes, without following a pattern, which creates an interesting contrast, a sort of ‘disorder within order’.

A colour range inspired by nature

Dekton Keon was chosen from the wide range of colours for the façade. This colour is reminiscent of the variable granite formations and surfaces found in the surrounding area.

Dekton’s resistance and low levels of absorption make it ideal for the demanding, daily requirements of a hotel. Dekton Laos, Soker and Sirius colours have been used for the surfaces in the cafeteria and the guests’ bathrooms.

A material that takes care of details

The LD Sevilla hotel has an outdoor terrace that offers stunning views of the Andalusian capital, a place where you can enjoy a drink at the bar, which is also made with Dekton.

And last but not least, Dekton has been used to clad the main hall, softening the transition between exterior and interior. The versatility of the material, together with some details such as the die-cutting of façade pieces for backlit signs and vents “helped us to solve many technical issues of the project”.

The final result is “a building of clean lines with horizontal stripes enhanced by strong horizontal joints, where we have tried to create a powerful, unified image while maintaining attention to detail”.

Exterior elegance, interior strength

TOPA Sukaldería is located in the heart of San Sebastián´s Gros district (Northern Spain), and occupies a total space of 496 m2, divided over two floors. The ground floor is occupied by the kitchen and the dining lounge, while the bathrooms are located in the basement. Clarity of space, contrasts, an upbeat, cosy environment, myriad ways of welcoming customers, high-quality decorative and architectural products, and the use of recycled materials are just some of the key concepts that define this project.

The ultra-compact surface Dekton, and the ecological Silestone Eco Line range were chosen for this design. More than 400 m2 of Cosentino products were used in this inspirational culinary project. The spectacular kitchen and dining lounge are located on the ground floor. In this large space, the emphasis is on the visual contrast between the natural, marbled finishes of the Dekton Kelya and Dekton Aura tones, and the wooden planks and metallic textures that permeate the entire room.

Topa Sukaldería - v Topa Sukalderia 4 381

Resistance and hygiene for the most exposed surfaces

One of the priorities of this design was to harness the concept of an open kitchen, to allow customers and diners to see the chefs’ creative process first-hand. The Dekton Aura worktops and counters connect the kitchen with the rest of the room in an elegant harmony. Their wonderful pure white clarity, together with their distinctive veins, make them the room’s stand-out feature.

The safety and hygiene offered by Dekton when handling food, its high tolerance for both heat and cold without suffering aesthetic or structural changes, its high resistance to stains and scratching, and the availability of large format cut to size were determining factors in the choice of Dekton surfacing.

Furthermore, Dekton Aura was used as counter for the furniture located throughout the dining room, bringing greater visual harmony to the space as a whole.

Large format to minimize joints

The contrast between the stainless steel, which can be seen in abundance throughout the kitchen, and the deep, dark, matte finish colour of Dekton Kelya, is quite simply magnificent.

In addition to the beauty and outstanding technical benefits of Dekton, the option of installing large format slabs for the kitchen walls, with minimal visible joints, gives the space a greater sense of continuity and aesthetic elegance.

Environmentally friendly materials

For the sake of elegance and functionality, the Starlight colour from the Silestone Eco Line was used for the wall cladding in the bathrooms. This material was chosen in line with the use of recycled wood shavings for the ceilings and other cladding within the premises.

The emphatic black colour of Starlight provides the perfect contrast to the white of the bathroom elements and the grey shades of the flooring. The scintillating gleam of the mirror shards which are incorporated into slabs of Silestone® Eco Line balances the light and the darkness in the room, and creates an unexpectedly bewitching visual effect.

Respect for nature, in every detail

Crowne Plaza – The Warsaw HUB had its opening in November 2020. This modern, multifunctional hub in the center of Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is an outstanding building and attention catcher. Two skyscrapers connected by a bridge are a place for conference centers, relaxation zones, hotels and office space. This is also the place for the first hotel from the Crowne Plaza chain in Poland. The interior design was entrusted to the Tremend studio from Warsaw, experienced in similar projects.

The main theme in the interiors of Crowne Plaza is the Vistula River and its unique wild nature. Respect for nature is manifested not only in this clear reference to the river, but also in the conscious selection of materials. Common areas are covered, among others, with Silestone by Cosentino, company that constantly develops its circular economy model. On top of that, Cosentino surfaces are characterized by exceptional durability and wear resistance.

“We decided to choose Silestone because, first of all, we want to cooperate with producers that respect the natural environment. Besides, this material fits perfectly into our main theme. The veins presented on the slabs bring to mind a river, which is in the center of our project”, explains architect Magdalena Federowicz-Boule, CEO of Tremend.

A chromatic gallery to recreate any atmosphere

The common areas reflect the bustling city life. They are full of color and eclectic. They are characterized by a wealth of textures, finishes and exceptional attention to detail – we will not find random decorative elements here. We will see beautifully finished bars – starting from the spectacular lobby bar, covered with white conglomerate Silestone Calacatta Classic and “crowned” with an impressive copper-colored frame, restaurant bars, as well as the Sky Bar on the top floor of the hotel. This luxurious space is completed by a sparkling black bar finished in Silestone Negro Stellar.

Pay attention to the furniture – soft leather, pleasant fabrics combined with a subtle pattern of durable tables. Black Silestone Eternal Noir used on the countertops combines perfectly with warm brown seats and old gold of the lamps and furniture details. The conference center, however, has been kept in the lifestyle spirit. It evokes associations with a modern command center, filled with new technologies and cozy at the same time.

Cosentino, more than a supplier

The interior of the hotel uses the highest quality materials to reflect the metropolitan character of the place and meet the expectations of guests from around the world. Designer lighting, a lot of natural greenery, carefully selected furniture – all this creates a modern space that will suite everyone. One of the consistent elements that one can find in many spaces are tables by NAP. Their minimalistic form is enriched by variety of veined tabletops by Silestone.

“Our adventure with Cosentino began with this great adaptation of the Crowne Plaza interiors. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of all products, as well as with the communication and service of the company. Our orders were ready on time and in the agreed configurations. We will certainly introduce Silestone and Dekton countertops into our future designs”, says Mikołaj Wielowiejski, Sales Director of NAP.

Silestone H-Line, easy maintenance for a heavy-duty washbasin

Scandic The Reef is more than just a hotel. Its attractions and facilities which are typical of a water park plus its Caribbean decor, offer a completely unique experience to visitors. Everything at Scandic The Reef is a journey into nature and fun, where you can hear the sound of rushing water around every corner. This tranquillity is also present in the cloakrooms, where the H-Line washbasins by Silestone can be found.

The hotel’s interior designers were looking for a material that was both highly resistant and visually appealing. The H-Line washbasins by Silestone, in Aluminio Nube, provide a clean and neat appearance, including features such as mitred edges, which give a smooth finish to the entire structure.

In addition to its beautiful design, Silestone is easy to maintain and clean, it withstands daily use and does not lose its properties or colour consistency over time.
